Great customer service – a reflection of what we expect.

Good customer service is purely a reflection of how we want to be treated as customers ourselves. In most cities around Australia, despite the recent rain in Queensland, we are currently affected by drought and water restrictions are in place. Rental car companies use this excuse for not washing their cars; the problem is that Avis seems to believe that the same rule applies for the inside of the car as well.

I was in Melbourne earlier this year on business and received my Avis rental car, not only dirty outside and inside but a tank only 90% full of petrol.

Avis suggested I return the car full and that they would sort out the difference on my return. When I did return, I was advised that the computer system was down and that Avis would credit the difference to my American Express card. That was in March of this year and still no sign of a credit. I should have gone with Budget

If you have had an experience similar to this, or even a positive customer service experience, then please comment. We would love to hear from you.

Avis Did contact me via email this morning, One of their customer service representatives in Melbourne followed up my complaint which I left on their website over the weekend.

If I did use Avis again, I would certainly have high expectations of their service.
